Puzzle Props Concept Art, UI Design: Morphic; Re:Sonance

The concept art shown here is from my university student game project "Morphic;Re:Sonance" (https://bit.ly/3Z3m2od), with a focus on photorealism. I was the lead artist and a concept artist, UI designer and 3D modeller for this project.

"Morphic;Re:Sonance" is a co-op puzzle mobile game that relies on both players in isolation "trasmitting information" through the "morphogenetic field" to one another to solve the puzzles in order to escape a hostile scientific facility. The game was inspired by the COVID-19 lockdowns, so the puzzles heavily rely on both parties piecing incomplete information to each other to solve them.

This project was eye-opening as an artist since it required heavy communication and discussion with the game designers, with all parties contributing to gameplay flow and cohesion from artistic, design and technical points of view to create a holistic user experience with the puzzle designs. Specifically, there was much deliberation on the delivery of visual information to the player, which required both the artists and designers to work together constantly to ensure the player's ease of understanding throughout the whole game.
